All the new cabinets were put in...
I gave a couple grandkids a little visual as to what it will look like when G.G. sits at her computer, typing away...
And then came the new brick floors! I am so excited about how they look!
And, finally, the countertops! (oh, and the brick behind the range is all going to be painted white... what do you think?)
My desk...
Our new sink...
The only thing really holding everything up right now is that there was a mistake with our french doors that we are putting in to replace this window into the kitchen...
They can't sand the floors until they put in the doors, and they can't do anything else until they sand the floors... hopefully, it will all come together soon. What do you think so far?
Also, I have made a little change with the piece I chose for our TV. Remember when I showed you this buffet that I was going to use? Well, as much as I love that piece, I then found this...
...and was even more in love. So, this is now going to be it. What do you think?
So, that is where we are at for now. I still have not found anything for the bathroom (which now has brick floors also)... any suggestions? Would love to hear from you!
Love... The MARBLE. yummmy.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it called?

cant wait to see it painted white in the stove surround...
Making me itch for a project!
I have always dreamed of a kitchen with brick floors! They look wonderful! & The buffet table- wowie! I'd be in love too!
ReplyDeleteIt is just stunning! Love the brick floors and your desk area. That light streaming in from behind where your tv will sit is incredible.
ReplyDeleteI am in love love glorious love with your brick floors. Fantastically chic. My favorite thing might be the dog sitting in the drawer. That is adorable.

I say more marble for the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteLove the marble! Carrera? And the brick floors. Everything! Love that your putting french doors in, that changes the whole flow of the room. We did that in our kitchen and it opens out to our patio and bbq, very convenient. In a powder room, I love a little whimsy. I remember a post awhile back about the color turquoise. Wouldn't it be fun to have that color peeking out of that room?
ReplyDeleteI love the marble countertops and the new piece for the family room...it fits so perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen! I live in PV and I am in the process of building a new home. I would love to find out where you chose your brick floors and what exact name belongs to the color scheme you chose? I love the marble countertops too. I would love to know your source for that as well. Everything is just looking perfect!
ReplyDeletephotos galore! love love love the brick floors and how it's all coming together. your home is a dream!
ReplyDeleteSo great! I'm putting in brick floors in our mud room and butler's pantry. What kind of finish do you plan to use? I'm nervous that I'm going to make it too shiny and it will look like a 1970s sun room? Any tips?
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless. Can I borrow you for my home once yours is done??? ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love the brick floor in the kitchen - so much more practical than hardwood that everyone is doing. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteOH. MY. GOODNESS! Your kitchen is a dream! Is that REALLY real brick? I have never seen brick on a floor before. If it is real brick, how would you clean it?
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I have been looking and thinking about new floors in our kitchen. This is one my idea!
I just LOVE them!
oooh, i love all the comments, questions and suggestions! let's see...
ReplyDeletemel - the marble is carrera (good call rosanne!)
and rosanne - love the idea of turquoise in the bathroom, if only i could commit to color... which i can't. i need something temporary - any ideas? would love that little bit of turquoise in there... maybe the turquoise vintage record holder i just bought, or the vintage fan (also turquoise) or the turquoise bingo cards... like i said, i am slightly into turquoise right now.
sara - looks like it is going to be more marble in the bathroom... just found a fantastic vintage piece!
theyoung8 - come by the store! we would love to talk to you about your remodel!
caroline - i actually don't know what finish for the bricks yet. when my contractor returns my phone messages, i will be sure to let you know. i am starting to wonder myself!
