25 years later

We have had these barrel chairs in our family for about 25 years now and it makes me laugh that they still are in perfect working order. Talk about being well-made... They swivel and rock just as good as ever. They have, however, taken on several different looks over the years. I wish I had taken the slipcovers off and photographed the old upholstery, but I am sure I could dig up a picture somewhere. In the meantime, what do you think of the latest look for these good old barrel chairs?

These were the previous striped slip covers...

And one newly recovered barrel chair made it into my living room...

So, what do you think?

Love them! I've got one that's been with me for decades, think it's time for a new outfit for her as well.
Really like the little ties and that gathering at the front.

I love reinventing chairs! Amazing what a little fabric and time can do.

Also, I posted about your kitchen shelving today on greige. I love the kitchen- thank you for sharing!

Best,
Christina

I think they are fantastic! I found a set at our local goodwill for $25 they are a hideous red but I plan on having covers made for them and using them in my daughters room. The scale is perfect!

Hi Bev,

Love your design aesthetics in everything you do, so it comes as no surprise I LOVE how your club chair turned out and from what I could see of the room is all ties in together beautifully!!! Where has the striped chair gone to???!!! Hope you've had a great start to your week.
Take care

Love them! I have two very similar chairs that I have been thinking about having slipcovered. I love the check fabric but I also really like the stripe you had before.
Hugs, Sherry
