aprons!

We were so excited to get a request from Chris Bianco (of the famed Pizzeria and Pane Bianco) to make aprons for his employees.  We got to work straightaway and delivered them to him.  Just days later we got a call from him telling us how much he loved them and he ordered quite a lot more.  Quite a very lot more.  So, we are back in our sewing room trying to complete the order, but of course having a lovely time as we serge away.  Each apron varies and I should have taken more pictures, but they were already all wrapped up, so here is just the one.  We did them in red and blue, so when we complete the rest I will be sure to take some pictures of a few others, as well.  So, what do you think?

We are already adding to the pillows for our Library inventory with some aprons and some little zipper pouches.  We also decided to make some little lavender sachets to include wrapped up with each pillow we ship!  So, hurry up and come get yours or call to place an order!  With a big recent apron order, I don't imagine they'll be around much longer...

I found this old suitcase at a second hand store and decided it was literally made for me, since it had previously belonged to a Beverly in Phoenix.  So, now it is home again with another Beverly...

library pillows!

So, as we mentioned back in June, Krista and I started a little company, Library, and we are so excited about all the feedback we've been getting!  We are selling some of our pillows at Blue Seeds in Costa Mesa and are looking to expand into more boutiques across California (and anywhere else that wants us!  What's that NY?).  Speaking of, if you are a shop owner and looking into starting a wholesale account with us, do give us a call or send us an email!  We'd love to talk to you!  Can't wait to see where we end up next!  We also managed to get a website up and running.  It's still a work in progress, but we are very excited about the prospects it holds.  Give it a look and let us know what you think - www.librarypillows.com.  And, some of the pillows are available at the Willows and some will soon be available online.  If you see one, you just have to have, though, never hesitate to call!  We are already making small plans to expand beyond pillows, so be on the lookout for a few new little goodies in the weeks to come...

bella's nursery

As many of you know, our lovely Jen from here at the Willows is expecting her sweet baby girl's arrival in just a month (remember her baby shower?) and we are all so very excited for her and Vance!  Jen let us come have a little sneak peek in Bella's nursery and we thought you would like to have a peek, as well!  It is just perfect!  The only detail missing is a beautiful little baby girl!

celadon home giveaway!

We are so excited one of our very favorite flea market artists has agreed to do a giveaway with us!  Michelle of Celadon Home makes the most amazing one-of-a-kind personalized art for your home.  She has four main categories you can choose from in her etsy shop.  The first is a great option for a wedding or anniversary gift.  She makes your art piece from a color photo of the couple (whether it be you, friends or family) and vintage sheet music cut into these little hearts and arranged with the couple's initials and wedding date (she also includes the original photo on the back of the frame with a note that the artwork was made from that picture).  Similar to this, her second option is a holiday gift for families.  She, likewise, takes a family photo of your choosing and arranges the photo hearts with two more hearts containing the family name and date established.  I love both of these ideas so much for that difficult to buy for person in your life. 

 The third option is one of the sweetest I have ever seen.  It is a personalized art piece made from your child's artwork.  This would be the loveliest mother's day gift, or a grandparents gift, or so sweet in a baby's nursery (made by an older sibling, of course!)...  there are so many great possibilities for this idea.  And the last option is one of the coolest and more original ideas I have seen in a long time.  The wedding guest book option.  You receive a kit in the mail prior to your wedding of craft paper hearts, gel pens and an example for your guests of what the final product will look like.  Then you mail it back to the artist and she creates your original artwork with these hearts and vintage dictionary hearts.  What an amazing piece to have hanging in your home!  What I love so much about all of these is that from across the room they just look like a piece of art, but when you get up close you discover the beautiful personal details in them.
