3/50 Project

I was talking to my friend this past weekend who is 9 months pregnant (any day now)! She was telling me about her experience stroller shopping at a national baby chain, and how awful the customer service was there. Besides the employees not giving her the correct information on the original stroller resulting in her having to make an exchange (which they also did not make easy for her), the employee refused to help her out to her car with the stroller box despite her being 8 months pregnant! Being an employee at a boutique - I was infuriated. We pride ourselves in going above and beyond for our customers, because truly, all of you are our friends! We have watched you all go through marriages, having babies, having parties, children's graduations and their marriages....we are here for so much more than to just ring through your transactions.

That is why it makes us so sad to watch fellow boutiques close down due to the economy. Another boutique turned us onto a project called the 3/50 project that we thought might be of interest to all of our supporters and friends.

It talks about the benefits of local independent retailers and what they bring back to the community in the amount of dollars. I think it could go even further and talk about what they bring to the community in terms of customer service, creativity and originality.
